Understanding your Apple Search Ads campaigns is crucial. Yet, going through all of the campaigns and checking competitors' strategies every single day can be an overwhelming task. That's where Overview, a feature in SearchAds.com, comes in handy. Overview gives you a simple summary of your Apple Search Ads campaigns' performance and insights into competitors, in one dashboard.

What does Overview offer?

  1. Overall performance metrics: Get an overview of key upper funnel metrics like spend, impressions, taps, installs, average cost per acquisition (CPA), average cost per tap (CPT), tap-through rate, conversion rate, new downloads, and redownloads. You can see these for the last day, last 7 days, or last 30 days.

  2. Search Ads Performance Grade: The platform assigns your applications a Search Ads Performance Grade which indicates how the campaigns are performing overall, 100 being the highest.

  3. Competitor insights: Understand your competitors' Apple Search Ads performance with their Search Ads Visibility Score and the number of paid keywords they're targeting.

  4. Top keywords and ad groups: Quickly review the top keywords and ad groups based on spend, impressions or taps within the selected time range.

How to use Overview

Log into your SearchAds.com account. Find Overview at the top of the sidebar on the left side of the dashboard. Once you navigate to the Overview page, you’ll see how straightforward and easy it is.

Simply select the app you want to check, and Overview will provide all the information you need about your recent Apple Search Ads performance and competitors.

Let’s now dive deeper into the Overview page and explain what each section means and how to use these sections.

1: This section is where you choose the app. If you have more than one app integrated into SearchAds.com, you can have their separate overviews by changing from this section.

2: It is your selected app’s Search Ads performance grade, a score that our algorithm gives according to your overall campaign performance, 100 being the highest score.

3: This is where you choose the date range for your data accumulation. You can choose different time periods, such as the last day, last 7 days, or last 30 days, to track your historical performance.

4: Here, you can see your app’s impressions, installs, taps and spend metrics for the chosen time period. The green number shows the data difference as a percentage according to the previous period, which is the previous selected date range. You can choose among different performance metrics to see your app’s performance.

5: This is where you can see your performance breakdown by gender and device. The graph shows you the percentage breakdown of the metrics you selected. If you want to check specific metrics, you can simply change them by clicking on the metric name. You can see the breakdown of the selected metrics among men, women, and uncategorized. The device breakdown is among iPhone, iPad, and others. The data here can be utilized for target audience analysis and how your audience works for your app.

6: The section shown below shows you the geographical breakdown of the selected metric and helps you identify your performance across different countries and regions. You can also select the metric you want to see for the country breakdown and hover over the colored sections to see the data.

Let’s move on to the second part of the Overview page, which contains more in-depth data.

7: Here, you can see the Search Ads Score of your selected competitors and compare them with yours.

8: This section gives you insights into your selected competitors. You can see their categories and the number of keywords that the app is running ads on.

9 & 10: These are the sections where you can see your top 10 keywords and ad groups by spend, taps or impressions.
