Using Compass, you can compare the performance of your app among many different storefronts, one of them using Trace, and this article will guide you in comparing your app’s performance between different countries. Let’s start!
Trace is a KPI and root cause analysis tool where you can compare the performance of multiple KPIs for an app within a storefront. You can compare different apps' performances within a storefront for a specific KPI, or you can compare multiple storefronts' performances for a specific app and KPI.
When you select “KPI analysis for countries,” you can compare your app’s performance across different storefronts. You can choose the storefronts for comparison from the red-circled area in the screenshot below. Clicking on a storefront adds it to your comparison chart. To add new storefronts, click the '+' icon at the end of the list, then search and select the storefront from the pop-up list. If you want to change the added countries, you can do it by simply clicking on the country flag and selecting from the dropdown.
In the chart below, comparisons are shown in different colors for each storefront, allowing you to compare an app's KPI performance across countries over a selected time range. Red and green dots represent performance spikes for each country—red indicating negative movements, and green representing positive ones. You can adjust the time range and customize the chart as needed. For more details, hover over the chart, and clicking on a dot will take you to a deeper analysis. The pop-up will show all UA activities leading up to the spike in a calendar table, helping you better understand its root causes. The table also provides a detailed analysis when you click on a specific event.
