Impact provides a “before and after” analysis of any UA activity, helping users measure the real impact on key performance indicators (KPIs). With Impact, you can better understand the outcome of your UA activities, enabling fine-tuning of strategies for better results. Let’s dive deeper into Impact.

The screenshot below shows the main navigation section, where you choose the app you want to explore in depth, along with its competitors. Let’s take a look at what each section does.

1- This bar allows you to search for any app you want. The selected app will serve as your main app while using Impact, but you can change it at any time.

2- This section lets you switch between storefronts. You can analyze activities across multiple storefronts while using Impact. Also next to the country dropdown, you’ll see a dropdown named “All Competitors.” Clicking on it and then clicking on the “Add New” button will let you segment your competitors into cohorts.

To remove a competitor, go to Compass Explore or Compass Trace and then click on the + button in the main navigator and select the apps selected.

3- This section lists the competitors you've selected, allowing you to analyze them alongside your main app. You can switch apps by clicking the small blue icon next to each app logo. Using the '+' button, you can also add new competitors to analyze. To change the order of the competitors, drag and drop each app’s icon where you’d like to locate them.

In the Activities Impact section, you can view all UA activities of the selected app in a calendar format, displaying when each activity started, ended, and its duration. In the top left, you'll see the app’s name and the selected storefront, while the time range can be adjusted on the right.

Hovering over any activity reveals its details, and clicking on an activity will take you to the section below in Impact, where you can see the before-and-after effects of that specific day and the activities that happened that day.

After selecting a date, you’ll see all the activities that occurred on that specific day. You can choose any activity to view its details. Scrolling down will reveal the before-and-after analysis of the selected UA activity across different metrics, allowing you to assess its impact on your overall UA performance. For example, in the example below, you can see how keyword rankings affected Category Rank, Organic Visibility, Downloads, and Revenue. Hovering over these metrics will provide more detailed information.
