What are “action frequency” and “check frequency” and how do they differ?

A question you might ask using Automations.

Check frequency refers to how often the automation system checks or evaluates the conditions set within your rule. For instance, if your automation is set to increase bids when the click-through rate (CTR) exceeds a certain percentage, the check frequency determines how frequently the system reviews the CTR data to see if it meets this condition.

Once the conditions of a rule are met, action frequency determines how often the automation actually takes the action defined in the rule. For example, if the action is to adjust bids on a keyword, the action frequency specifies how often this bid adjustment can occur once it's triggered. This helps prevent changes that are too frequent, which might lead to instability in campaign performance.
