First of all, to start exploring Ad Intelligence, log in to your MobileAction account and navigate to Ad Intelligence on the sidebar on the left.
Under Ad Intelligence, there are three parts: Analysis, Top Charts, and Collections. As their names suggest, under Analysis you can find tools to conduct your app-specific analysis; under Top Charts, you’ll find tools to help you observe the industry or category leaders and top-performing ones. Under Collections, you can create your own app-specific or creative-specific collections for easier tracking. Now let’s dive deeper into each section and briefly explain which tools can help you do what.
Creative Analysis
It is an overview of a specific app’s advertising strategy where you can view an app’s paid user acquisition efforts and its brief performance in terms of creatives, impressions, and media types. You can choose any app and see its creatives listed below with their impression shares, media types, duration, and many more metrics. This tool allows you to analyze any app’s creative strategy and its presence in the category.
Advertiser Analysis
Here, you can track any advertiser's advertising efforts and strategy, including ad network distribution, country distribution, languages, media types, media resolutions, creatives, and related creatives. This section provides a comprehensive overview, allowing you to choose any advertiser and see detailed information about their ad strategy. By viewing their distribution across various metrics, you can analyze their approach and performance in different regions and categories.
Ad Publisher Analysis
Here, you can get insights into an app’s publishing history, including an extensive list of creatives that appear in the app. You can review which ad networks' SDKs the app has installed, see how many apps are advertising through this app, and access all details regarding ads. This tool allows for a thorough analysis of an app's advertising ecosystem and strategy.
Developer Analysis
This tool of Ad Intelligence provides a list of apps from a specific developer, including their categories, platforms, and types, along with various other details. Developer Analysis offers an overview of the developer and insights into their strategy in the market, allowing you to analyze their app portfolio and market approach.
Top Advertisers
View the top advertisers who run ads aggressively and see their spending behavior. You can filter the apps by category, country, ad network, and selected store within a defined timeframe. By going to the Top Creatives section, you can check out the ad creatives of any app. Filter the creative library by store, country, ad network, app name, media title, and media type within your chosen timeframe. Top Creatives lets you see which creatives are performing best in your category and spot trends and types that might work for you, too.
Top Developers
Top Developers is a tool to check out the list of app publishers (developers) and their top-performing apps. You can filter them by platform, category, network, and country for your desired date. This tool enables you to discover the strategies of top app developers and gain insights into their success.
App/ Creative Collections
Collections is designed to help you create advertiser watchlists and track your favorite advertisers or creatives. Through building collections, you can get a snapshot of your competitors or the category you're interested in. This tool makes competitor research easier and faster, allowing you to group and monitor specific segments.
